Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that we gather as Friend of the Woods on the traditional land of the Wyandot of Anderdon People- past and present. We give thanks to these hosts for care taking this land for thousands of years, for their countless sacrifices, for their Elders and knowledge keepers, and for their youth whose very existence is proof of their resilience as a people. It is these true founders of this land that we are endowed.

We also give gratitude to the land that we our on. We honor that we share this land with the home of many trees, squirrels, deer and all the other living plants and creatures of this forest. Out of respect and gratitude, we are committed to continuing, to learn how to be better stewards of this land and teach the next generation as well.
